During their abduction they get close even though it isn’t ‘right’! After getting rescued they take distance and handle it both in a different ways.

Now 17 years later Dallas is known as The King of Fuck, a reputation he has been building for years. He also started an organization ‘Deliverance’ with a few men he thrusts to find kidnapped children and hopefully also track the people who kidnapped and tormented Jane and himself. Jane is an author who wants to fight illegal organizations who endanger children with their rescue attempts.

Can they keep their distance? Will their ‘Dirtiest Secret’ get revealed? Will there be justice after all this time? I’m looking forward to the next book in this series

I have read the Stark Trilogy from this author and loved all 3 books! This one is a winner again and receives 3.5 stars. It is a hot, suspenseful romance. But for me personally the first part dragged too long. It took them too long to finally admit that they can’t stay apart. After that the book is a hot read with some kinky pieces. I hope to get more kinky stuff in the next book 😉

4 stars for “Iron Horse MC – 01 – Exquisite Trouble by Ann Mayburn”

I have already read the third book in this series ‘Exquisite Redemption’ and loved it.  That book is about Beach (the MC’s president) & Sarah (Swan’s sister).  I loved that book so when this first book in the series popped up on NetGalley I just had to request it!!  And it didn’t disappoint…

It’s the story of Swan.  She’s a little bit socially awkward and can’t handle being touched by people she doesn’t trust.  She doesn’t know it yet but her life is in danger.  When hot, alpha Smoke (Master at Arms of the Iron Horse MC) comes to her rescue she immediately feels safe and doesn’t mind his touch.  Because of her thrust and touch issues she’s still a virgin but being near Smoke makes her want to wanton.  Her sister is missing.  Sarah’s trying to find their mom who is the cause for both Sarah and Swan’s lives being in danger.  Swan and Smoke now want to find Sarah.

I loved both Smoke and Swan.  Especially Swan … just like her sister Sarah she’s a kicka$$ woman!  I loved how strong and smart she is!  Mini spoiler : There is even a mini scene where she takes out her father and I loved it. 

I totally love Smoke.  He can be arrogant and scary but like the author describes him in the book he is a romantic biker in a pornographic way 😀  I loved his patience and his Fortune Cookie worthy quotes!

Besides Smoke and Swan there are so many great characters in this book … Vance, Hustler, Mr Sokolov, her stepmom Mimi.  I crave a book about Hustler!  I want him ;D

I’m looking forward to read more from this series and give this book 4 stars!  This book ends in an HFN and continues in book 2 : Exquisite Danger

3 stars for “A Bad for You Novel – 01 – Didn’t I Warn You? by Amber A. Bardan”

When reading the blurb for this book on NetGalley I requested it because it sounded like a great dark read but I’m a little disappointed. To me it isn’t dark at all! She doesn’t get to contact anyone and Haithem won’t return her home but besides that he’s almost always great to her. There are no dangerous situations or at least they don’t feel dangerous.

Overall I still enjoyed this story and give it 3 stars.

The book ends in an HFN and will be published April 18^th. The next part is expected to be published 2 months later…

4 stars for “The Monster Trilogy – 01 – Defaced by Marissa Farrar”

When I saw this book on NetGalley I loved the description and cover! I hadn’t heard yet from this author so I checked her other books on GoodReads and noticed she mainly writes Paranormal/Fantasy which is a genre I rarely read. So I double-checked this book and since it isn’t that genre I requested it.

This well written dark romance feels like a modern version of Beauty & The Beast which is one of my favourite fairy tales! I won’t reveal to much about the story but it’s about a damaged young woman. She loves her job to make people beautiful on the outside and happy on the inside. Because of what happened in her past she distances herself from people to protect herself so except for her patients she has no one. Monster has been sheltered his whole life by his ruthless, hard father. As the name says he feels like a monster and doesn’t show himself to anyone because his issue might be seen as a weakness. He needs Lily’s skills and orders her abduction. This is a wonderful story of two people overcoming their own issues and growing closer while they do.

“Don’t make me punish you, Flower. Things happen to me when I have to punish a woman. The monster you see on my face is nothing compared to the monster that lies within.”

There were several back flashes in this story which were very helpful to understand Monster. Monster is an intense, mysterious man who is never tought how to respectfully behave with a woman. He has some issues but with how he was raised those are understandable.

I love dark reads but often it is about women abducted to become a sex slave. This one is different and I liked it. I also loved how sassy Lily remained during her captivity. You can also feel their attraction right from the beginning.

This book ends on a HFN but I’m still looking forward to the next book in this series which will be released spring 2016.
