5 stars for “Unyielding – 02 – Perfect Ruin by Nashoda Rose”

I was so excited when I got approved for this ARC! I have read several of her books including the Tear Asunder series and loved them all.

Since it was mentioned in the Blurb that the books in this series must be read in order I immediately bought the first in this series “Perfect Chaos” and read that one first. It’s better indeed to read that one first for everything to make sense in “Perfect Ruin”. But you won’t be disappointed since Book 1 is awesome too!

Now for “Perfect Ruin”. Again I won’t say too much about the story because I don’t want to spoil anything. If you have read the Tear Asunder series you have already met Kai and Raven. It was already obvious there, that there was more to their story and this book tells us everything. From there first meeting about 5 years ago until now. That time is filled with a lot of heart ache, pain, torture, surviving, suspense, … but in the end lethal, intense, hot, possessive and protective Kai gets his ‘Braveheart’.

There are also lots of other interesting characters in this book and I wouldn’t mind if Vic would get a book too ❤

This well written, captivating, amazing, steamy story gets 4.75 stars so let’s make it a 5 ;D

5 stars for “Unyielding – 01 – Perfect Chaos by Nashoda Rose”

A few days ago I received an ARC for Perfect Ruin (Kai & London) but I hadn’t read Perfect Chaos yet so I immediately bought it and started reading. I liked it even more than the “Tear Asunder” series. The “Unyielding” series is darker and has even more suspense.

Deck is a hot, intimidating, possessive, honest, protective alpha … just how I like them!! ;D And Georgie is so strong, sassy, smart and loveable. From the books I have read so far of Nashoda Rose, Georgie is my favourite female character!

I think it’s better not to say anything about the story since I can’t say much sensible without revealing too much. It’s a wonderful romance story of 2 people who have been craving each other for so long but haven’t been together because of a promise to Georgie’s dead brother. Now everything is changing. Dark secrets are revealed. Lies are uncovered. Who can be trusted? Who can’t?

I loved this brilliant, well-written, steamy, twisted, sexy romance with lots of suspense. There were also numerous times it made me smile or laugh!

In this one we already get to know a lot already about Kai and I’m really glad I can dive right into his story!

5 stars for “King – 02 – Tyrant by TM Frazier”

Where to start again? Well first I want to say I’m so damn glad I bought this book and started it right after the first. I have too many unread books on my kindle so I ‘try’ real hard not to buy new ones but I just had to finish King’s story.

I’m not going to tell about the story since it is so good and I don’t want to spoil anything. I loved every single page of this well written book. It was perfect!! Well no … almost perfect! Damn you TM Frazier for taking Preppy that soon from us 😉 Perfect would have been and HEA including Preppy in their life. I’m still a little bit sad about that but really enjoyed the small parts where Doe or King ‘heard’ him speaking in his own wonderful way! I’m not very fond of Paranormal books but I think Preppy would be perfect for one since he already tried it out in this book haha. I just loved the epilogue ;D

Book 1 got 4.5 stars but this one with even more suspense, heart ache, darkness and tears deserves 5 stars!! Now I’m really looking forward to Bear’s story. Let’s hope he’s on his bike right now riding towards his HEA. We’ll find out soon…

5 stars for “Hades Hangmen – 03 – Souls Unfractured by Tillie Cole”

Flame and Maddie … OMG! During this book my heart broke several times for both of them… This was a book which made me feel so much while reading! It was very hard to read. Not because it was bad written or anything like that but because the pain both characters have been through was so hard to take. Two broken souls with a long way to go but they have each other.

This book was well written and I really liked how both Maddie and Flame developed and their relationship blossomed. I won’t write here what happened in this story … just read it please!!

I was already intrigued by Flame in books 1 and 2 and after seeing the many pictures of Josh Mario John as muse for Flame on Facebook I was dying to read his story. The story was all I hoped for and more … just perfect!

I really admired AK and Viking and how they have always taken care of Flame. I really hope they get a book of their own…

Spoiler : I liked the small pieces were we get to see that Rider/Cain is finally getting it and doesn’t seem so bad anymore. Makes me look out for his book because I kind of hated him before I couldn’t imagine want to read his story!

As mentioned in the Author’s Note: Souls Unfractured begins immediately after Heart Recaptured ends. To fully enjoy this novel, Book 1, It Ain’t Me, Babe, and Book 2, Heart Recaptured, should be read first.

5 stars for “Hades Hangmen – 02 – Heart Recaptured by Tillie Cole”

Beginning this year I read book 1 in this series and really loved it. I had this book (book 2 – Ky and Lilah) already available on my kindle for some time but hadn’t started it yet. I’m really looking forward to the story about Flame and Maddy but first I had to tackle book 2 but it wasn’t a hard chore at all! This one was a winner for me too! 5-take-life-by-the-balls stars

At only 6 years young a little, beautiful girl gets cast away from her family. From then on she’ll live in a twisted, sick, abusive commune. She doesn’t know about life outside of the sect and survives with her deep faith. When the Hades Hangmen MC destroy the commune and kill most of the evil elders and the prophet to retrieve the Mae (her best friend and now girlfriend of the Prez Styx), they also take Lilah and Maddy with them. Mae has grown up with Lilah and Maddy and managed to escape the commune for a short time. Lilah is terrified of all the sin she witnesses outside the commune and had a hard time adapting. Ky is crude and vain but slowly Lilah starts to trust him. Here I’ll stop because more would spoil the fun reading this book.

“What was, Li? What was all worth it?”
“Everything…” I whispered, my pain-filled life flashing through my mind—the tortures, the loss, the segregation, the abuse… the rapes. I nuzzled into his torso and continued. “Every single second of my life… because it eventually led me to you. It led me to fall so deeply in love with you, Ky… the man who recaptured this bruised and battered heart.”

I loved it! It’s well written and very addictive…

I look forward to reading the other books in this series! The story about Flame and Maddy is next…

I also hope there will be books in this series for Sia, Hush AND Cowboy and another with AK and Phebe…

I also love the covers she used for this series…Gorgeous!

5 stars for “The Vengeance Duet – 02 – TRUTH by A.C. Bextor “

I loved book 1 Dirty and book 2 Truth didn’t disappoint! AC Bextor writes great stories with strong characters!

This book proceeds with the infiltration of Max in Satan’s Creed MC. His purpose is to safe little 11 year old Casey from the hands of human trafficker Viktor. Casey is the niece of his girlfriend Emilyn and has been kept in the MC since she was born. Max also gets to find out Spoiler! who killed his little sister Marie.

Lots of suspense and tears later I was glad they all got their HEA! Now I would love to read a book about Anna. She deserves a HEA too Spoiler : with Cilas or Aimes but I prefer gentle giant Cilas…

5 stars for “The ‘Burg – 04 – Games of the Heart by Kristen Ashley”

In the last years I have read many books but one author who never fails to keep make me smile reading her books is Kristen Ashley! I love every single one of them… including this wonderful story of gorgeous, alpha, badass, protective Mike and sassy, strong, fun, loving, kind, cool Dusty (I love that name by the way) and her matchmaking. And as a bonus the author gives us the side-story of young Reesee and Fin!

Kristen Ashley has a unique writing style. I also love how descriptive she is and the strong characters she creates. I also like that characters from previous books make appearances in her books. It feels like one big family.

I loved that the song “Not an Addict” by K’s Choice was used in this book. It’s a song I like very much AND it’s a from a Belgian rock band. (I’m from Belgium 😉 and I think this is the first time I see a Belgian song mentioned in an foreign book )

If there is one thing I liked less, it’s the long chapters. I hate to stop reading in the middle of a chapter but hers are sometimes so long there is no other choice.

This was another great read which gets 5 well deserved stars. It made me laugh, cry, swoon, angry … it just made me feel!!

5 stars for “The Mercenaries – 01 – Best Laid Plans by Stylo Fantome”

Can an author write different types of books and make the next even better than the last? Stylo Fantome can!!

I really liked the “Kane Trilogy” and had my doubts about “My Time in the Affair” before I started it but it turned out that I loved it! After reading the book description and some blog entries of “Best Laid Plans” I didn’t think I should read it. But since I loved her previous work I wanted to give it a try and I loved every single page of the book! This is my new favourite and it even gets 5 stars which only 5% of my books read receives.

It’s evident that good research had been done for this book. I have never been to Africa but everything seemed realistic.

I really loved smart, badass, damaged, determined transporter Lily and smartass, hot mercenary Marc stole my heart. While trying to survive dangerous situations, they battle their attraction which is pointless. This is a story full of suspense, adventure, action, chemistry,… This book had it all and I loved it!

In the second half we get introduced to Kingsley (Law) and please Stylo, give him a book of his own! I totally love the Brit! And since I’m placing wishes here … a movie for “Best laid plans” would be nice too!

I’m really looking forward to the second book “Out of Plans”
