Wow … Again wow! This is one of my favorite authors. She writes amazing, captivating stories full of suspense with wonderful characters. I loved her Tear Asunder and Unyielding series and hope there are many more books to come.

After reading Perfect Ruin (2nd book in the Unyielding series) I couldn’t wait for Connor’s book and it was so worth it!

As with the other books, you could read them as a standalone but I really suggest you read them all, in order.

As for this book, Perfect Rage… When Connor and Alina met in 2005 they were immediately attracted to each other and spent some great moments together. Until Carlos Moreno forces her to go to him. She leaves a message for Connor which breaks his heart. If only he knew …

Now many years later, after being rescued from Carlos, Alina is trying to make a life again and didn’t think she would see Connor again. But Connor isn’t the same man anymore. The drugs and torture Carlos forced on him made him a cruel, hard, dangerous and unpredictable man full of rage. He wants Alina desperately but he won’t endanger her and leaves her again and again … He doesn’t see it as running but as surviving! Will he stop running?

I loved reading about the previous characters too! I don’t see if there will be another book in this series but if there is I would love a book about Vic Gate or maybe even Deaglan…

3.75 stars for “Mafia Made – 01 – The Gun Runner” by Scott Hildreth

Michael has been a Marine for 10 years. Since a year he’s home working as a Gun Runner. He isn’t looking for a relationship until he sees Terra being dragged across a parking lot by her former abusive boyfriend. Nobody steps up to help her but Michael. Terra is immediately attracted but a non-catholic, non-italic man would never be approved by her father, the Godfather of the Italian Mafia.

Both have their secrets. Michael doesn’t reveal his profession and Terra doesn’t reveal who she really is. How long can they keep their secret? Will they be able to stick to Michael’s No-Sex-For-30-Days?

What I loved are both main characters! I also loved how feisty Terra is, both their dirty mouths and Michael’s friend Cap. I hope that Cap and Terra’s friend Michelle get a book too or we can read more about them in a second book.

Now some MINOR issues for me personally. I felt that Terra needed to reveal her secret when Michael confessed everything. I really missed an epilogue 😦 I’m not a big fan of insta-love. Condoms, birth control, … were never discussed.

The next books in this series will be The Game Changer & The Good Boss. The Gun Runner was the first book I read from this author and get 3,75 stars. I look forward to read more. Any suggestions on a book?

3 stars for “Gold Coast Romance – 02 – Heal My Broken Heart” by Elle G. Mraz

This was the second book in the Gold Coast Romance series by Elle Mraz. It’s unfortunate that it has already been 10 months since I read the previous book in this series. So it took me some time to get into it and remember … But I did like reading and hope to read the final book soon.

This book felt like a constant push and pull so personally for me it could have been a little bit shorter. What bothered me in the previous book and is the same for this one, is the constant switch between POV’s.

I do think that Talon might be an interesting character for a next book 😉 Am I bad for wanting him in a book with Ariel?? I also do love Gabe as a side character!!

5 stars for “Unseen Messages” by Pepper Winters

Estelle finished her tour and really looks forward to some quiet time. Galloway was on his way to his new job. The Evermore family is looking forward to a family vacation. Fate brings them together with devastating consequences.

This was a very long story but oh so worth it!! I loved every second of this heartbreaking survival struggle of a stranded ‘family’. Not by blood but by tragedy. I loved how strong every single member of this family was. How they worked together to make the best of their situation. It made me once again think about life and realize once more that I should be more grateful and content.

At about 75% I wanted to throw the book aside. I was crying ugly tears and couldn’t believe what happened. Finally composed again I continued reading and couldn’t believe a little further what was happening ‘again’. But after that it finally started to look better for the characters in this book.

As I mentioned already this was a very long story but I think it would have been less believable if it would have been shorter. The main part of this book is the time they lived on the island which is 3.5 years.

I was grateful for the long epilogue at the end because I really needed that 😉 Another great book by Pepper Winters which receives 5 stars!

There are a few types of book I prefer : MC, tattoo shops, kinky, … And guess what? This book is about a sexy, kinky, tattoo-artist biker! Yay!

Enough is the first book in the ‘Jericho Brotherhood’ series by Jade Chandler and I would love to read more

In this Erotic MC Romance we get the story of Lila ‘Red’ Braham & Darren ‘Dare’ Forrester. Dare is a hot biker and boss in the tattoo shop ‘Marked Man’. Lila has escaped her abusive past and starts to work for Dare. Both have their own baggage and are done with relationships but the chemistry between them and their need makes them give it a try for as long at it lasts and someone says ENOUGH. .Lila loves her job and Dare assured her she would keep her job, no matter what happened between them. Will that work?

I liked hot, sexy Dare but I really admired strong Lila and loved how she expresses what she wants sexually

It took some time before they got their HEA so I would have liked an epilogue but I guess we’ll hear about them again in the next books in this series. Next book will be the story of Rock and Avery.

I would also like to read Kylie ‘Bear’ & Ollie’s story and of course Jericho’s, Thorn’s, Zero’s …

3,5 stars for “Bad Bitch – 02 – Hardass” by Christina Saunders

This was the first book I read from Christina Saunders … I thought 😉 I already read 2 of her books written with the pseudonym Celia Aaron. I loved those books too and still have to read the third in the Acquisition series. .

This was an easy, fun, entertaining read with wonderful characters as well as a great gay best friend … I want one myself! Besides a romance there is a suspenseful story about two attorneys defending a man accused of being a serial killer… Wash tries to keep their relationship professional but hey, guess what … He fails 😉 You could feel their chemistry.

I give this book 3,5 stars and would love to read the remaining books in this series…

I wouldn’t have minded a bigger epilogue.

Oh yeah loved this one too … This is a wonderful series and I can’t wait for the most anticipated one in this series … Bridger’s story but first this one.

Two people with their own secrets. Understanding each other with a few looks. A business deal standing between them…

Personally for me this book was less ‘dirty’ than the other ones in this series which is not a bad thing but different than I expected after the previous reads 😉

One thing is sure … Sawyer Bennett knows how to write wonderful books!

After reading First Touch I couldn’t wait for the second one and was very glad I got approved for the ARC …

How do you choose between the two people you belong to? How do you choose between love and a promise made in the past?

I loved this book but I had a little bit a problem that Emily didn’t really choose for her man and wanted to give everything up for her ‘friend’ Amber. I wanted her to fight more … Also there was less suspense than the first book but I still loved it.

I’m looking forward to read more from this author!
